Meet Stella of the Stella James Studios

Stella Dragu is the grandmother of Shadow Mihai, the foundation of this new Studio. Shadow believes the creative spirit of this Romanian Immigrant to re-invent herself and her family in a strange new land is constant inspiration to the independent mind and soul.

Shadow Mihai has been an entertainment attorney and trial lawyer since 1991. He ran his own practice until one day when he was on a movie set. Left alone while the crew drove home, Shadow remembers “…the smell of the gels burning from the hot lights still in the air. I knew this is where I was meant to be.”

After several more years of Law practice Shadow met up with two other film lovers. Together, they ran a film festival in Hollywood. The Hollywood Film Look was a monthly short film festival where each director had to make a short film in a specific genre. This was the beginning of Shadow’s partnership with the other half of Stella James, Carrie Cain Sparks.  The Hollywood Film Look festival was also the inspiration of their first feature film, “Hollywood Story”. This documentary style feature film chronicles the heart-stopping story of the three directors’ adventures coming to Hollywood. Making “Hollywood Story” inspired the studio founders to tell the stories of other talented people’s journey to Hollywood as well.

With the creation of the hit new series Coming 2 Hollywood Stella James demonstrates her distribution model. "It is better to show people what you are talking about then to just tell them about it," and Shadow encourages anyone to watch the C2H network grow and see the Stella James model evolve as the only distribution model that can work on the internet. Of course, most major networks and major studios won’t agree with our model, because we believe that internet content should always be free to viewers. Stella James Studios is the future of entertainment.
