Meet James of the Stella James Studios

James Cain is the Grandfather of Carrie Cain Sparks. James represents perseverance, no matter what hills you have to climb. James the Lion watches over the Cain Family, protecting and advising, as well as being the social center point for all in the community.

Descended from a group of Loyalist immigrants, the Cain Family clan was forced to settle on what was determined un-farmable land. Four generations later, the Cain Family is thousands strong and has spread out all over this beautiful continent.

Carrie Cain Sparks is the artistic leader in this Family, having appeared in several major films and made-for-TV movies and series. Her goal has always been to create immeasurable art. The strong and creative mind of Carrie Cain Sparks comes from her ancestor’s drive to find new ways to create a thriving society out of rocks and pine trees. Carrie began as a singer in the touring gospel group, the Sparks Family Singers. With this background, the sounds of music are always in the forefront of Carrie’s creations.

Carrie began her filmmaking career with the Hollywood Film Look festival, which lead to producing her first feature along with a budding partnership with the future Stella. The feature “Hollywood Story” chronicles Carrie's journey as an actor and director under pressure to make it in Los Angeles. Watching the director’s interview is eerie as, “it foretells the future I am living now. The future films I would make. How I would become a producer and director when I had no immediate plan of that.”

You can always expect a pounding original sound track from any film that Carrie produces. Carrie has her own directing style, and she believes each film should have a great original story, an intriguing cast, and an element of the unexpected.

Stella James Studios is the evolution of what began 300 years ago. The strength of art survival. Where the creative spirit and independent mind seem to no longer exist, with studios merging leaving the artistry part of the industry replaced by a business mind only, James (Carrie Cain) has been able to merge watch-able, intriguing art with a business model that works. She will prove that you can make a creative art film and still have wide commercial appeal.
